The Orthodox Cathedral was built between 1890 and 1896 in the Neo-Byzantine style to serve the workers of the Krenholm Manufacturing Company. It was the only building standing after the city was bombarded in WWII.


Vihula manor in Lahemaa National Park, Estonia. Although the estate dates back o 1501, the current manor was built around 1892, after the old one was destroyed in a fire.

Pühtitsa convent is a Russian Orthodox convent in Estonia. It was founded in 1891 and has become the largest Orthodox community in the Baltic.

Tahkuna lighthouse in Hiiumaa Island, Estonia. It dates from 1873 and it's the tallest lighthouse in Estonia, at 42.6m.

Alatskivi Castle, Estonia. The original building dates to the 17th century, but it was rebuilt by Baron Arved von Nolcken in the 1870's in the style of the Balmoral castle in Scotland.
